Our Stafford Centre volunteers will be carrying out service promotion work at the MacDonald Road Library from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday 5th September.  Watch this space for photos of the event!!

Cafe Serenity

We had an event at Cafe Serenity were we were discussing the Stafford Centre, two centre users came to tell everyone about the centre, the radio station and our supported volunteering project.  Thanks to Mike and James who were excellent.

The 3 Tenors

As usual Friday karaoke was great, and Stuart, Ian and Tommy were in fine voice, well done guys you sang beautifully.

Jackie's Art

Jackie's just new to the centre but I think you'll agree that she is a fantastic artist, Jackie has called her picture 'The Canal'.

Writting Group gets busy.......

The writing group met today, and oh boy they were busy, poetry, Stafford Centre diary of events, tales off the radio and fete news - all to come in this months newsletter, subscribe NOW!

Thank you to Mary, one of centre users, who every Monday arrives with flowers.  Mary has build a relationship with Narcissus Flowers of Broughton Street, she delivers biscuits to them every Monday and they give her a donation of flowers for the centre!  Thank you to you both.

Lovely donation!

Many thanks go to 'Locanda de Gusti' restaurant on  East London Street for this pair of lovely chairs, sitting pretty in our up-stairs drop-in just waiting for the music group on Friday.

And the winner is......

Yes Eric is our lucky winner of the cuddly toy, the competition was guess his birthday, and Eric got it spot on, well done Eric and well done to every one who took part we raised £22.

The summer fete was a huge success with over 190 people attending.  A big thank you to all our volunteers who helped out on the day
